Yeonhong 4.0.0 update

Six bots now work together, all commands live on Yeonhong, and server settings move to the dashboard.

Six bots work together

Five new bots, Yeonha 2–5, join Yeonhong, so there are six bots in total. The Yeonha you know is now Yeonha 1.

Use Yeonhong's /join and a free bot joins your voice channel. If Yeonhong is reading in another channel, Yeonha 1 comes, and if Yeonha 1 is busy too, the next bot comes. Each message is read by only one bot, so two bots never read the same message.

  • /bots shows which bot is reading where. To add more bots to your server, press [Add] in /bots.
  • When every bot is busy, you can choose Move or Add more bots.Only Managers and above can use Move.
  • When a bot joins, it tells you which voice channel it covers and which chat it reads.

You can use all six bots without a membership.

Commands on Yeonhong, settings on the dashboard

All commands now live on Yeonhong. Yeonha's commands are gone.

Change server settings in the dashboard. The /server, /membership and /dashboard commands are gone, and you can get the dashboard link with /settings. Dashboard server settings are reorganized into seven tabs, with a new first-time setup guide.

  • /setup walks you through the first setup step by step.
  • /relay sends a message to another voice channel.
  • /voice-server shows and changes the voice server a bot uses.
  • /server translate is now /translate.

Yeonhong's and Yeonha's settings are merged

The server and personal settings Yeonhong and Yeonha kept separately are merged, so every bot now uses the same settings. Where both were set, Yeonhong's value is kept, and values set only on Yeonha were moved over as they were. You can still set the channels to read and the voice channels to join for each bot.

If your server set up Yeonha differently from Yeonhong, please check the server settings in the dashboard once.

Language, permissions and translation

  • 'Server language' is now 'Main language'.Choosing a main language also changes the bots' names to that language. A server language you set before becomes the main language.
  • You can set a language for each channel.
  • The new Translate option shows a message in your language.Right-click a message and choose Apps → Translate.
  • New permission levels: Admin, Manager, User and Guest.Set which level can use each command in the dashboard's Permissions tab.

Reading, refined

  • Bots can read site titles and spoilers.
  • Bots can announce screen shares, cameras, and bots joining or leaving.
  • Max reading time decides what counts as too long.It uses how long a message takes to read (5–30 seconds) instead of its length.
  • New idle time limit and auto-delete for messages that have been read.
  • Markdown symbols, timestamps, commands and Korean numbers are read more naturally.

Membership

  • The 'Yeonhong + Yeonha' server membership is now called Server Membership, and gives Plus voices on all six bots.Everyone in that server can use them.
  • The 'Yeonhong only' server membership is now called Server Membership Lite.It still applies only on Yeonhong.
  • Personal memberships and credits stay the same. The same credits are used whichever bot reads.
  • When you create a custom voice, we check your recording first and apply only the processing it needs.

Other changes

  • FixesWe fixed an issue where there was no sound after a bot joined a voice channel. Messages that weren't read during this issue were not charged.

Our update notes list where to do everything you used to do. After the update, please check your main language in the dashboard's Language tab, and run [Check permissions] in the Bots tab to make sure the new bots have every permission they need.

The bots restarted during the update, so some may have left your voice channel. If so, call them again with /join.
